Ctrl Alt Secures GFSC Authorisation, Extending Its Tokenization Capabilities with Fiduciary and Digital Transfer Agency Services

Ctrl Alt's fourth authorisation globally brings fund and vehicle administration onto digital rails, under its own regulated entity.
Guernsey / London, UK – August 5, 2026 – Ctrl Alt, a leading tokenization infrastructure provider, today announced it has secured two licences from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC), adding regulated fiduciary and digital transfer agency capabilities to its tokenization offering.
The licences are held by a newly established regulated Guernsey entity, Ctrl Alt Corporate Services (“Ctrl Alt”), which will support the administration of its tokenization offerings. The Fiduciary Licence covers corporate administration, directorship and governance services for its vehicles, and the Protection of Investors (POI) Licence permits Ctrl Alt to act as registrar and digital transfer agent for investment fund and vehicle interests, covering administration, subscription and registration.
This marks Ctrl Alt's fourth regulatory licence globally. It joins authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licence from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), where Ctrl Alt was the first VASP authorised to conduct Issuer services, and authorisation from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), announced last month.
Together, the Guernsey licences and existing authorisations cover the full operational lifecycle of a tokenized asset, from structuring and issuance to distribution and management. The digital transfer agency moves the maintenance of registers, a traditionally manual function, onto digital rails. By embedding distributed ledger technology (DLT) into the register and administration processes, Ctrl Alt can maintain digital registers as the authoritative record of ownership. The fiduciary capability applies the same operating model to the structuring, directorship and governance of its vehicles.
Initially inwards-facing, these functions will form part of Ctrl Alt's tokenization process, supporting its tokenized investment structures, funds and programmes across global markets. The authorisation builds on Ctrl Alt's presence in Guernsey, a widely used jurisdiction for funds, fiduciary services and vehicle structures.
Matt Ong, Founder and CEO at Ctrl Alt, said:
"We've been operating in Guernsey for some time now, and we're delighted to be deepening that relationship with this authorisation. As leaders in tokenization, we're proud to bring digital transfer agency and fiduciary services in-house, giving us direct control over how the register of ownership is maintained and how closely it works alongside the token. That removes a layer of friction that has slowed alternatives for years. Guernsey's depth in investment funds and corporate services, along with the GFSC's constructive engagement with digital finance, made it a natural choice for our fourth authorisation. We look forward to putting these capabilities to work across our tokenization initiatives in the months ahead."
The move comes amidst growing momentum in Guernsey's digital finance sector. Under its Digital Finance Initiative, the GFSC confirmed in July 2026 that it will introduce new guidance supporting fund tokenization, reinforcing the island's position as a jurisdiction for regulated digital finance.
