What's Involved

Note: The start date for this placement is Summer 2026

We’re looking for a Placement Student Software Engineer to join our growing product and engineering team.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to help design, build and test features across our platform - from investor tools and dashboards to APIs and integrations that support our global partners.

This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience with real-world software development, working in an agile, high-growth startup where your contributions truly matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand real-world software development workflows and help deliver new product features.
  • Learn to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in TypeScript/JavaScript under the guidance of experienced mentors.
  • Assist in building and testing APIs that power our investment and tokenization platform.
  • Develop an understanding of scalable and secure backend systems, exploring how we architect high-performance fintech infrastructure.
  • Participate in code reviews to learn best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
  • Support QA and testing efforts, gaining exposure to how we ensure our products are reliable and production-ready.
  • Gain hands-on experience with modern development tools such as GitHub, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines used in professional engineering teams.
  • Work within an Agile environment, learning how teams plan, iterate, and deliver features efficiently

Requirements

Must Haves

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Some experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (through coursework or personal projects)
  • Basic understanding of web development and APIs
  • Eagerness to learn about fintech, blockchain, and tokenization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity
    Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proactive, motivated, and highly organised
  • Reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrates a commitment to personal growth and continuous improvement

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of blockchain or tokenization
  • Knowledge of fintech and startup environment
