What's Involved
Note: The start date for this placement is Summer 2026
We’re looking for a Placement Student Software Engineer to join our growing product and engineering team.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to help design, build and test features across our platform - from investor tools and dashboards to APIs and integrations that support our global partners.
This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience with real-world software development, working in an agile, high-growth startup where your contributions truly matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand real-world software development workflows and help deliver new product features.
- Learn to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in TypeScript/JavaScript under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- Assist in building and testing APIs that power our investment and tokenization platform.
- Develop an understanding of scalable and secure backend systems, exploring how we architect high-performance fintech infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews to learn best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Support QA and testing efforts, gaining exposure to how we ensure our products are reliable and production-ready.
- Gain hands-on experience with modern development tools such as GitHub, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines used in professional engineering teams.
- Work within an Agile environment, learning how teams plan, iterate, and deliver features efficiently
Requirements
Must Haves
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Some experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (through coursework or personal projects)
- Basic understanding of web development and APIs
- Eagerness to learn about fintech, blockchain, and tokenization
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity
Good communication and teamwork abilities - Proactive, motivated, and highly organised
- Reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude
- Demonstrates a commitment to personal growth and continuous improvement
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of blockchain or tokenization
- Knowledge of fintech and startup environment
